The GPON Home Gateway Unit (HGU) is an ITU-T G.984 ONT designed for delivery of IP-based data services and IPTV video services to the single family home or apartment. The GPON HGU offers one 2.5G Ethernet port and three Gigabit Ethernet ports, 2.4G and 5G 4*4 dual band 11ax concurrent, and one USB 2.0 port, also support Z-wave and Bluetooth function.
The GPON HGU is designed for indoor installation and has three methods of placement, including vertical
Horizontal and wall monut. A single optical fiber carries upstream and downstream traffic over the GPON between the OLT and the ONT. The GPON HGU is fully provisioned and managed from the OLT using PLOAM/OMCI and TR069.
