Taipei, Taiwan, 11th August 2017 - Sercomm Corporation (TWSE: 5388), a leading manufacturer of telecom and broadband equipments, today announced financial results for the second quarter and first half of year 2017. 

 

On consolidated basis, net sales for the second quarter of year 2017 were NT$9.3 billion, which represents an 11.7% increase compared to NT$8.33 billion for 1Q 2017. Operating profit for 2Q 2017 were NT$360 million, which represents a 33.8% year-over-year increase compared to NT$269 million for the first quarter of year 2017.  Net income attributable to owners of parent for 2Q’17 were NT$318 million, which also represents a 38.9% increase over NT$229 million for 1Q’17.  Based on 243 million weighted average shares, EPS were reported as NT$1.31 for the 2nd quarter of year 2017. 

 

Consolidated net sales for the first half of year 2017 were reported as NT$17.63 billion, which represents a 2.5% decrease over NT$18.08 billion for the first half of year 2017.  Operating profit and net income attributable to owners of parent for 1H’17 were NT$629 million and NT$547 million, respectively.  Based on 243 million weighted average shares, earnings per share (EPS) for the first half of year 2017 were reported as NT$2.25.
