Sercomm and Verizon Wireless Demonstrate Standalone LTE-enabled Security IP Camera at CES 2011
From the 2011 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES), Sercomm Corporation (TSE: 5388), a leading manufacturer of IP camera, broadband and wireless networking equipments, today announced a Home Monitoring and Control Solution that takes advantage of the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE Mobile Broadband network.  The collaboration and demonstration have been fostered at Verizon Wireless’ LTE Innovation Center, which provides an environment for diverse companies to develop innovative products based on 4G LTE technology. At CES 2011, the Home Monitoring and Control Solution will feature a standalone LTE- enabled IP camera, which enables a wide range of applications, including security surveillance, home automation and energy management, each with all real-time video and data accessible through mobile handsets and a Web portal.  The Sercomm LTE indoor/outdoor camera can be easily deployed anywhere with 4G LTE coverage and an AC power source, such as swimming pools, backyards, commercial parking lots, railroads, and pipelines, without worrying about wiring or Wi-Fi network installation.  These LTE-enabled cameras can also be installed on police vehicles, school buses or other public transportation to provide real-time video surveillance to a central control station and law enforcement professionals. The Verizon Wireless 4G LTE Mobile Broadband network, launched in December 2010, is the fastest, most advanced 4G network in the United States, providing speeds up to 10 times faster than Verizon Wireless’ 3G network.  Verizon Wireless’ 4G LTE Mobile Broadband network currently reaches one-third of all Americans, with plans to expand the network to the company’s entire 3G coverage area over the next three years. The standalone LTE-enabled Security IP Camera will be highlighted during CES from Jan. 6-9 in Verizon Wireless’ booth (#35216 in the South Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center).  For more information about the LTE Innovation Center and Verizon Wireless’ 4G LTE network, visit www.verizonwireless.com/lte.  For more information about Verizon Wireless at CES, visit www.verizonwireless.com/ces or follow the company on Twitter at http://twitter.com/verizonwireless.
